A Walk in the Woods
This year’s annual juried member show, A Walk in the Woods, features work by more than 30 AAW member artists who created work inspired by the title theme. As always, the juried member show reflects a wide range of styles and approaches, and offers a glimpse into the creative workings of the woodturning mind. The theme was chosen in honor of the many trees and forests of California, but artists were free to interpret the title for themselves. This exhibition was juried by Carol Sauvion, executive director of Craft in America; and by prominent sculptors Frank E. Cummings III and William Hunter. Artists shown, clockwise from above left: Darrell Copeland, Richard Kennedy, Jerry Prosise, William Moore, William Ooms, Kimberly Winkle and Benoit Averly, Pat Matranga, and (center) Corey Anderson.
